Some traditional educators see ICT as simply a subject to be learned rather than a tool for learning. An example of this view can be seen in this post on Andrew’s blog*. He said that the main value of ICT in schools was to help students get jobs working with computers when they leave school. I left a comment in which I argued that the purpose of schools is more than preparing kids for the workforce, and that we should be more ambitious about the way we use ICT in schools – across the curriculum and to transform teaching and learning.
